Suzanna Dutt is a storyteller at heart and a journalist by trade, with over a decade of experience sharing local stories across digital platforms.

A graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s in Arts and a minor in Film and Literature Studies, Suzanna further honed her craft with a Journalism diploma from Centennial College’s Story Arts Centre.

Her career has taken her through the fast-paced world of reporting, from covering breaking news and local happenings in southern Ontario for insauga.com to being a social media marketing specialist at yourcitywithin.com — creating food and event content for the GTHA.

Together with her husband, Suzanna co-hosts the podcast Sitting on Top of the World, where they explore marriage and reflect on adulthood as millennials. Recalling their childhoods as '90s kids while looking to the future, they invite viewers to share in a nostalgic yet insightful dialogue about navigating life’s seasons with a bit of humour thrown in.

Suzanna is also the voice behind Wake Up Toronto, a web-based radio show where she mixed pop culture, national news, motivational mantras, guest interviews and shared life anecdotes. Through this platform, she bonded with listeners across Toronto, engaging in discussions that brought laughter, inspiration and uplifted spirits.

Though tremendously frightened of all things scary, ironically, Suzanna has authored and narrated over 25 short horror stories designed to lull listeners to sleep, proving that sometimes our fears hold the most creative stories.

At her core, Suzanna is deeply rooted in her community, striving to build honest and meaningful relationships with her audience. For her, reporting goes beyond storytelling; it’s about capturing feel-good moments that nudge others to see the beauty and awaken hope in the world.

Outside of reporting, Suzanna has danced since age five, choreographing for over 20 years. Dance is her way to escape into melodies that transcend time—where she loses herself in rhythm and movement.

While she’s a self-described extrovert who thrives on genuine conversations, Suzanna also cherishes her solitude, often journaling about her day-to-day reflections, goals and ambitions.

An avid dreamer who’s been told she has her ‘head in the clouds,’ she believes in the universe’s magic—that through intent and self-belief, we can find our purpose in the world and manifest our dreams.
